The Nepal Library Association (NLA), a non-profit NGO, was established to enhance library services and professionalism in Nepal. Founded under the National Directorate Act, 2014 BS, it was officially registered in Kathmandu on September 25, 1980 (Asoj 9, 2037 BS) under the Sangha Sansthan Registration Act, 1977.
